Auckland Airport (AKL) offers travellers to New Zealand's North Island plenty of choice when it comes to ground transport and the travel needs of passengers.

Regular buses are available at Auckland Airport, arriving and departing from both the Domestic and International Terminal buildings. Buses run every 20 minutes during the day and every 30 minutes by evening, travelling from 06:20 to 21:00. The buses are operated by Airbus and Maxx, with some of the most popular onward destinations including Albany, Botany, Manukau and Pakuranga.

Shuttle Buses


Operated by Johnston's Shuttle Express and Airbus, shuttle buses depart from the main international terminal every 20 minutes, between the hours of 06:30 and 20:30, meeting all of AKL's incoming flights and travelling to any address within the city centre.

The airport's taxi ranks are situated to the west of the International Terminal buildings and also outside of the domestic terminal buildings. By taxi, the journey into central Auckland lasts approximately 30 minutes, depending upon traffic levels. Popular cab companies serving AKL include Alert Taxis, Co-Op, Corporate Cabs, North Short Taxis and Super Shuttles.

Limousines


Limousines are operated by Ford Limousines and allow you to reach your chosen destination in style. The journey can be surprisingly inexpensive and so limos should not be discounted.
